My son, the cavalryman
I've come to the conclusion that my boy is, was or will be a full fledged cavalry man. What has lead to this conclusion, you may well ask. I mean he's two and a half, not exactly the age one expects to be deciding on such matters. It's because of his fascenation with all things, well, cavalry. He sees the wargames figures on my table and is instantly drawn to the horse mounted ones. He loves them, especially the bugler, but not exclusively. No, anyone on a horse is good for him.
But horses aren't just all. He's also very much into their more modern, mechanical counterparts. He often crawls up on my lap and asks me to show him pictures of tanks. One of his personal favorites seems to be the German Stug III, though he's quite taken with anything of the sort.
The heart of it is, when faced with a choice, infantry, cavalry or civillian transport, he always picks the cav. Hmmmm, we'll have to see how he reacts to the air force...
