Tossin' wishes in a fountain
So I was at Hazeldean mall tonight with A, and he loves looking in the fountains there. He's just fascenated by the water. I don't mind, since I like the water too. Guess it's all the water signs I have in my chart ;-) There's a habit we've gotten into that I give him change to throw in the fountain. It's gotten to be such a habit that he now asks for "change to make a wish".Tonight, he asked for his change to make a wish, and I gave him a penny. He just likes throwing the coins in to watch the splash, so I always make a wish before I give it to him to throw. It's always the same wish, the one I wish upon stars, in fountains, over birthday cakes -- basically any of your usual wishing type situations. Tonight I wished on my penny, handed it to A and let him throw. It was as he was tossing it that I realized what song was playing on the mall music. It was Daniel Beddingfield, If You're Not the One. It had started while I was wishing on my coin.
Coincidence? I don't think so. In light of the day's other events, I really don't think so. Maybe that's just wishful thinking on my part...but I don't think so there either.
And though I can't be with you tonight
You know my heart is by your side
Always...
